Loved the session on teaching to read. We let kids develop at their own pace in so many areas but when it comes to school and reading “we” all the sudden expect them to all develop at the same pace 🤪. So encouraging to hear about other stories and the thoughts behind L&N and R2R. This mom of a “struggling reader” (slower pace, delayed....fill in the blank, I personally don’t like any of these labels) needed this encouragement. I feel so much better and encouraged that I listened to the whisper of the Holy Spirit to slow down or to keep going even though I wasn’t always sure it was Him. And way too often compared and wondered if I can do this, if I’m actually cut out for this or if I’m “messing up” my child. I’ve seen how good it’s been to slow down, reset and/or stay consistent. We’re not where I’m hoping to be yet but I’m a lot more confident, especially after the session, that we will get there. ❤️ Was anyone else encouraged?
