I’m curious what others would consider a good bar to set for high school reading? In terms of assigned books: For a developmentally typical 9th grader; would you consider 6 books in a year a decent amount? My son reads through books very quickly. I was thinking about challenging him a bit with 2 books per unit (we will do 6 units this year). He also reads books of his own choosing at night, so I don’t want to overload him either. 🤔🧐 thoughts 💭 opinions?
