My youngest is doing Letters and Number, and my oldest is currently working through the High School level of Botany. My middle son has special needs, and I wasn’t sure where to place him. I now see, I should have started Ready to Read with him this year, and moved forward from there. However, I had already purchased other curriculum to fit his needs. It’s a fine line to walk when trying to figure out if the curriculum is working for him, or if I’m shoving information into his head, that it’s too much to grasp. I see gaps in his learning, from public school, foster care, and multiple diagnoses. In my gut I feel like it’s better that he has a solid 5th-6th grade education (by the time he graduates) versus me pursuing curriculum because I bought it or because I feel like he “should” move up. I don’t know. I feel lost right now, and thought this would be a safe place for me to get my thoughts out.
