What do you do for a child that is a guesser. For example: CAT. He knows all the sounds, says the sounds and then shouts out another word. So he would say "c-a-t, ball". I can't tell if he really doesn't understand the concept of blending the sounds or if he is just guessing. Or another example - looks at an 11 and says 15. What do you do? He's almost 6 and we've done L&N and he does know all the information he just does not take the time during a workbook session to actually participate and think about his answers. I'm reluctant to start R2R until we conquer this constant "guess the answer" situation but redoing L&N would frustrate him.
