I just have to share this testimony of Gather Round. Nov 2 my homeschool was completely derailed when my grandmother took a fall and was in the hospital until she passed away on Nov 6. My kids have special needs and school is our staple for rhythm and routine. We haven’t picked up a school book since Nov 2. We were 6 or so lessons into Living Off the Land, taking 2 days per lesson when this happened, and I lost momentum in doing a full unit because I am exhausted and trying to get my kids regulated. We have been doing US History 1 in between finishing main units so I decided to table LOTL and finish up US1 in November and then do the new Christmas unit for December and come back to LOTL in January. I absolutely LOVE how flexible Gather Round is!! Even when a crisis struck our family, we can tweak our plans and keep moving forward. We’ve had two fantastic days of school this week and US History 1 has been PERFECT for helping us find our groove again…and we will be doing the pilgrim/thanksgiving lessons next week! It’s like Someone knew what was coming our way. He is in every detail. 💜
