Today we left our lesson behind and learned about our culture. My grandmother is 100% native and was raised on a reservation. She is not doing very well so one of my mom’s cousins came in to visit. She taught us how to make tortillas and fry bread. We also read books about both. Big Moon Tortilla is a story about a little girl who lives on our reservation.
