I am looking into finally doing a couple GR units to try them out. We are obviously new to GR. It's a different approach than what we usually do. My question is about my upcoming 8th grader. He hasn't done a lot of writing or the type of worksheet activities that GR uses. Should I start him with the Upper Elementary or Middle School student workbook? I don't want it too easy for him, but I don't want him getting frustrated with it either. Of course, I will be here to help if need be.
