I don't know if it's just finding the right routine that I'm missing or if I'm missing something else. I have a 8, 6, 4, & 2 year old at home. We are just starting our homeschool journey. The kids wanted to skip my August review month that I just pulled worksheets from previous years out to get them in the school mindset and get to the new stuff. My 8 year old is doing well with her Math U See, Oceans unit, and cursive learning book. I do plan to start spelling power with her too. My 4 year old is doing well with his L&N 3 (he went to preschool last year) and his pre Reader oceans unit. He actually asks for more some days so I'll pull pages from cheap Walmart school books for preschool. My 6 year old on the other hand is giving me trouble. He's taking forever on his early reader oceans unit. He is doing ready to read 3 and is fine but I don't think he needs to go back to the pre reader 2 pages. I know he's smarter than that. Am I giving him too much? Then to top it off, My 2 year old wants to be part of it sometimes and that's fine except when she's being noisy in my face while trying to read or help her siblings. She'll sometimes color quietly but others I can't hear myself talk. Or she'll want me to play in her room. How do I balance all of them?
