Encouragement to share today! It has occurred to me recently that I am in a season of halcyon days- the peaceful, all-is-well, normal days that are the substance of memories made and moments cherished. After over a year of prayer and trial, The Lord has blessed us with a calm after the storm. A part of me is anxious about the next storm that inevitably will rage in this broken world; what will it be? When will it come? Will I be prepared? Will it cause me or my family tremendous suffering? And then, in the steam coming off a hot cup of coffee, the flit of crimson of a Red-bellied Woodpecker, the unsolicited nose-crinkling smile of my 9 month old- those beauty-drenched moments saturate my heart with God's goodness and care, flood my heart with His peace, and remind me that He is the one who said, "My grace is sufficient." All of these tiny beauties keep echoing in my mind, reminding me that our God is good, and kind, come what may. Let this be your encouragement to embrace the small graces of your everyday moments and let the Lord handle the future- He is able. ❤️
