Any NA Bird unit parents (Alberta, Canada) interested in a zoom Birds of Prey session by the Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation? I’m thinking of booking a session for later this month. This program focuses on what features distinguish Birds of Prey from other birds, along with their main adaptations. We also delve into the major types of Birds of Prey living in Alberta (hawks, falcons, eagles, owls) and how you can tell members of each group apart from each other. In addition, we discuss some of the major conservation challenges these birds are facing, and what we humans can do to help our local birds of prey. I've structured the program to allow for lots of questions and comments from participants too, so if there is anything of special interest to the kids we can certainly talk about that as well!
