You guys wanna know a secret? I have always been a huge advocate of not doing "school at home" but rather school as part of your life/home. And yet, we've always had a school room. Now, to be fair, part of that was because I was a blogger and also had more school books than I could possibly hold (or use for that matter) in a nook in my house. But, for the first time ever, because Gather 'Round is so minimalist and because of the structure of my new house, we have no school room! We are doing school at the kitchen table this year, or maybe on the couch, or better yet snuggled up by the fire... School as part of our life and the very flow and fabric of our home. My values and my reality lining up and everything ;)
