Prayer request: In light of the murder of George Floyd, our family is struggling. The amount of trauma we’ve experienced over the last several years is getting to be overwhelming. I’ve cried a lot of tears this week because I know I have to have the conversation with my children that they pose a threat to others because of the color of their skin. I know a lot of you don’t need to have that talk, but you do and should have the other talk. The one where you teach your children that we are all equal, that black and brown people are not threats, that all of us have a right to live. As brothers and sisters in Christ we must all stand together and speak out, pray, and be an example of what the light of Jesus looks like. I guess I’m just asking that you pray for my family as we navigate having these difficult discussions with our kids. Pray for the peace of God to permeate our minds and hearts, and that He would continue to lead us to a place of rest. 🙏🏽
