The entire chapter of Ezekiel 18 is full of God’s mercy and grace and displays the heart of our Lord so well. We are each responsible for our own lives. Our parent’s lives to do not determine our righteousness or our wickedness. My life does not determine my children’s righteousness or wickedness. We are individually responsible for choosing to live for the Lord or not live for the Lord. Mercifully, if we have chosen wickedness, as long as you still have breath in you, you can turn from it and be fully forgiven! 🙌🏼 But he also warns those who were once righteous not to turn to a life of wickedness because it will surely lead to death. “Therefore, I will judge each of you, O people of Israel, according to your actions, says the Sovereign LORD. Repent, and turn from your sins. Don’t let them destroy you! Put all your rebellion behind you, and find yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O people of Israel? I don’t want you to die, says the Sovereign LORD. Turn back and live!” Ezekiel 18: 30-32
