Good morning lovey home educators! My current devotionals have been all about Jesus’s beautiful sacrifice, we are not bound by our old life, and how there is no condemnation on those who believe. I am just in awe of how God sent His one and only son to be the light of life in this broken world. Knowing that in a short time after his miraculous birth, he would be beaten and die in human form to bring us a new life. During this season of Christmas, there are so many lights hung up and they bring joy and excitement. How these tiny lights can come together and illuminate a tree, a mantle, an entire house or neighborhood. I don’t know about you guys but I now see those lights as a reminder. A reminder of Jesus’s charge for his followers. If you believe that Jesus is your savior, you are one of those lights and we come together, united in Christ, bringing light in this world. So as we go about our busy season of “I’ve got x amount of time I HAVE to get this done” let us remember our lights are shining. Be a light in someone’s life. Illuminate their darkness. Let go of perfection, slow down, and be a light. God doesn’t want perfection, all He wants is our humble hearts. He gave us these babies to educate them in His love! My prayer for all of us Gather Round teachers is that we experience the joy that God is and we shine that light in the children we are educating. I pray these babies see the light and are so into it they want the light for themselves. God’s gift of everlasting life. Be a light!! A Jesus loving light!!
