So I am really wanting to simplify our homeschool and bring back some of that joy that we once had in our home as far as school is concerned. I have 4 kiddos (14, 12, 10 and 7). This year has just been nuts so far (last year was too, and there were other factors that made it challenging). One of the things that I have loved of all the years we have homeschooled (this is our 10th year!), is that time together reading as a group...no matter what it is (history, science, read-aloud, etc.). This year feels so disjointed, I am being pulled in 4 different directions and rarely get those "together" times with my kids. I have chalked part of it up to the fact I have 4 kids over a wide-ish range, and at this point in the journey, it's just the way it is. After reading what Rebecca had written in the "about" section, I was reminded that it doesn't have to be this way. Besides venting to you all, I am looking for some advice! I am really thinking Gather 'Round would be a breath of fresh air to our family and to me! My question is this, and it is really just about High School and how you navigate those waters. What does that look like for you guys? Thanks in advance for your feedback and thoughts 💕!
