Hello! Not sure if I should post this here or in the special needs group but figured I would start here. My son, 10 has some special needs, therapist suspected ADHD but never officially had him tested, this was just before the crazy train of Covid; my husband and I also think a bit of OCD. William is bright, smart, funny, fun loving, loyal, empathetic/sympathetic, always willing to help, loves his family very much, protective, creative, pride in his accomplishments, active, loves playing outdoors and having imagination play with his sister that they go on adventures, courteous, kind( at times is challenging, little sisters are tough) but we have been strongly butting heads the last month! The attitude, behavior and the way he speaks to me is astonishing! I don’t quite know what is going on with him but I don’t know what to do with this outlandish behavior. Of course it’s also monkey see monkey do at times and his little sisters, 8,4, chime in once in awhile with the bad behavior but not nearly as rude and arrogant to me as my son. He constantly is arguing with me! Even when I tell him enough, and walk away from him, he is STILL ARGUING! I don’t know what to do when he gets into some of these streaks and I can’t get through to him to stop the behavior and the way he’s speaking to me! I do know I need some strong prayer warriors to help. I’m so frustrated I just want to quit! It’s very hard to wake up joyful in the mornings lately when all you can think about is how bad is today going to be?! So if whomever take the time to read this, 1st of all thank you a dm God blessing you for making it through! 2nd please? If you have a moment say an extra prayer for us if you will?
