I’m a box checker and very visual- so I love to plan and write things down . I got the GR planner in Sept because I loved the thick paper, water Color images, and overall look of it. I’ve tweaked it a bit to make it fit for everything we are doing . Today my labels came in and I printed them and got it all ready for next year :D Every day at the end of the day I also ask the boys to think of something they are grateful for and we stick it in the “gratitude jar”. Love the Bible quotes peppered throughout . Also, I’m taking a stab at “adult Coloring “- not much of a colourer but am finding it surprisingly very relaxing before bed. I have found that using the top row for subjects and the side for the date seems to work better for me . I then divide each box in two for each of my kiddos :) We do a lesson from GR, reading/LA, and Math daily (Matthew does language daily as well). Then add in 1 more core per day and other discussion/hands on/art activities throughout the rest of the day. (First timer here so still trying to find the balance between meeting DL requirements and not overloading them with work - they love the GR units so those we definitely do) In the new year, I have made it a resolution to do a Bible study and delve more deeply into the word. I have a beautiful journaling/colouring “Inspire Prayer” Bible coming in the mail- I can’t wait to start collecting my fav verses and fill the scripture and reflection pages .
