I know that Inventions is new but my question is more in general. (I also know I can do whatever I want as a homeschool mom). I have a book list put together of about 85 books for the invention unit. This is both GR and some online searches. 8 of these are part of the Who, What, Where series. On average I would have to read 4.5 books a day to read them all during the unit. That would be okay if they were small books but the Who, What, Where series takes us a few days to get through. I was thinking of adding in a day or two to just go over one of those books. Maybe add in a few worksheets for comprehension. This would extend the unit by a week or two. Has anyone done this in any unit? Thoughts is it to much? I have a 7 year old (second grader) who loves to learn about people and history.
