I need some high school advice. I have a 10th grade daughter who went to public school until this December. She is smart, but doesn't want to be forced to learn material she deems irrelevant to her life. She does want to go to college. We set her up with math, biology with lab, and a history/literature/Bible class. She also has German, woodworking, and a Young naturalist program as electives. She loves animals and is thinking of veterinarian or ecology or some other animal related career. She hates the history/literature/Bible book and after watching me and her little brothers work on the earth science trial, she really wants to do gather round with us. I was wondering if the best way would be to keep the biology, since she will probably need it to get into college, but ditch the history/literature/Bible book and replace it with gather round. Would this be acceptable on a transcript to get into college? Her transcripts up until now aren't great because distance learning was an absolute disaster for her.
