I am doing the read through the Bible study. And I was just thinking about the part of Abraham’s story when he sees the three men coming who then eventually tell him that Sarah will have a son in a years time. He ran out to meet them and offered them shade and rest and food. He bowed and asked them to not pass if they found favor with him. To me, it sounds like he knew they were from the Lord. But at first, we are told 3 men. I would think 3 angels disguised as men. So how would he know? I don’t believe they were the Lord himself as he was talking to the Lord after the men departed when he asked him to spare the city for Lot’s sake. This always kind of intrigued me. Did he know from the beginning who they were or was he just being kind to 3 strangers and realized later they were sent from God? Thoughts? Insight? Musings?
