Is this enough? ABSOLUTELY! Test results are in for my kiddos and I thought I’d share.... I gave my children (4th and 2nd grade) the full battery test to get a baseline for where they are since this was our first year homeschooling. I was a little nervous considering we only made it through 5 full units this year....but figured the results would show me areas we could improve on next year. When the test results came back, I was pleasantly surprised, especially since my children did not score this well in public school. We did not add on extra curriculum, but I did check out roughly $9,000 worth of books from our local library to enhance our studies. (Our library keeps track of the retail value of our borrowing - it’s pretty cool.) My 4th grader used the middle school workbooks and my 2nd grader used early elementary. Both children used Beast Academy for math and 60+ minutes of reading time daily was the norm. Next year I’ll bump my younger child up to the upper elementary GR workbooks. My older child will remain with the middle school books and I’ll provide less guidance from me during the research portions. Gather Round is captivating and motivating. A new unit every month or so is exciting and keeps things fresh. My children love studying topics of interest and I love learning alongside them. I can’t recommend this enough and appreciate all the veteran homeschool mommas who said to trust the process. You were 100% right! ❤️
